Notes on Grief by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
5.0

This book is interesting but not in a way you recommend to your friends or try to sell in a review. It's about the kind of pain one only feels on the loss of a truly loved member of the family. The kind of ripping, grinding grief that can only really be understood by those who have felt it. Having been there, I understand her. And I appreciate having a small knowledge of her father, who must have been a truly wonderful man. But having had this experience, there was nothing really to be gained from reading about it. And, had I not experienced it for myself, reading about it would do no good.
