The Final Gambit
by Jennifer Lynn Barnes
This very well could have been a 5 star book for me except for three things
1. This felt like a repeat of the other books. There wasn’t much unique in comparison
2. The finale was a let down. Like it all came down to a chess game and that’s how she bestest such a powerful man?
3. She ended up with a man who treated her terrible. I wasn’t a huge Jameson fan to begin with but after the whole “If you might like my brother too then I won’t be able to stop myself for treating you like an object to be won” thing, I couldn’t stand him. Not to mention him locking her away. We didn’t even get to see him start treating her like a person.
