I really like this!
I have my issues, because I LOVED the first half of the book, the writing style was so touching, and because this book deals with a lot of heavy stuff, it makes you feel a lot of things. BUT after 50% of the book, I felt that it was SO SLOW! Like nothing happened until the last 3 chapters or so, and the story concludes way-too-convenient. The plot twist was too obvious. Still, I enjoyed this book.
I loved the characters: The things that Candace has to go through are so horrible, but she gets to put herself together and overcome all of that. I admire her for it. And Ryan is just a beautiful person. However, my favorite character was Jase. I love him. I don't care he's gay. I love him with my soul. He's such a good friend to Candace, and such a good person and... *sigh*. I. LOVE. HIM.
Jase and his sexy boyfriend Mark are just so adorable together. They were my favorite couple so I'm really exited to read [b:Freeing|31368731|Freeing (Fading, #2)|E.K. Blair|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1470606632s/31368731.jpg|25069688] because is their story and how freaking cool is that?
