The Chinese mythology that is tied into the characters of the book was very interesting and I found myself looking into that mythology to give the characters like depth with my further knowledge of warriors such as the Monkey King.
The book has a lot of very applicable quotes to today's real world and the realization of consequences particularly regarding revenge, are certainly comparable to many feelings regarding current events.
