Sinful Demon King by Nikki St. Crowe
4.0
Since this is PNR, I really don't think this counts as a spoiler, but just in case, here's a warning that my first comment might be considered light spoilers:
I've read a couple different series where, after the first book, the rest of the narrative gets lost in dozens of sex scenes. And while I love a good romp as much as the next girl, I also want a story that's moving forward.
I didn't actually think it was possible to keep a narrative running while also offering up several scenes with all kinds of sexy times. There was development *during* said scenes, even.
That, in my opinion, deserves applause.
Near the end, things got a bit rocky for me due to actions done by both main characters that felt rather contrived for my taste. But I enjoyed the rest of it enough that I consider that a mere speed bump.
Third book in the trilogy, ahoy!
