The Clockmaker's Daughter by Kate Morton
5.0
There were so many layers to this book. I loved it, and I gave it 5 stars because of how engaged I was. However, it felt like a story I had heard before... notes of movies like Titanic and books like The Secret Garden and Atonement and historical fiction about authors' groups like Mary Shelley, Lord Byron, etc. I honestly think our ghost's death could have been more interesting, but the story that leads up to it is incredible. Kind of a strange, anti-climatic conclusion.
