This was such a delightful surprise! I’ve recently become a huge fan of LitRPGs and this felt very reminiscent of that without all the stats!
I just love how bumbling and naive Waldo is, Alice is hilarious and very smart. I laughed out loud at several of the conversations and situations they seem to find themselves in.
I’m also enjoying the world building- The author does it in little bits and it’s not so overwhelming, the way some fantasy books are with the giant info dumps. Overall, it was a lighthearted quick paced humorous adventure and I look very much forward to the next book.
