Murder in the Bookshop by Anita Davison

3.5

It’s 1915 in London and WWI is underway.  Hannah has already lost her fiance and is choosing to live with her Aunt Violet, helping to run her bookshop.  When Hannah discovers her best friend murdered in her bookshop, her and Aunt Violet run parallel investigations with Inspector Farrell.   Meanwhile, a spy plot is also involved.

I thought it was a cute story even though it took a bit to nail down the characters.   I thought Darius’ storyline was a bit much until the end of the book.  I also am happy the books in this mystery series are all <300 pages.  It was a quick enjoyable read and I’m excited to continue the series.
