I have a lot of feelings about this book, most of them bad. I absolutely hate Nesta as a character and don’t think she deserves a redemption arc. She was supposed to go through character development, but throughout most of the book she simply feels sorry for herself and the changes she does go through feel forced. Another thing I hated was how much Cassian‘s character was butchered. He went from a charming and playful but cunning general, to a himbo horn dog, it’s honestly tragic. Also, the ending was too convenient, but to be fair a court of wings and ruin was no better in that regard. However, I have to admit Sarah J. Maas‘ writing was excellent in terms of keeping me interested, despite of how much I hated the characters and their developments.
