The Brothers Hawthorne by Jennifer Lynn Barnes

Money, power, games.
This book continues the inheritance games series with the stories of the Hawthorne brothers - Jameson and Grayson. Jennifer Lynn barnes amazes me with every new book she writes. The thrill of trying to solve the puzzles along with the characters is unmatched. She is single-handedly making all of her readers cleverer. The adrenaline rushing through me, the intellectual simulation while reading this, is not something every book can do. If you love puzzles, do yourself a favour and pick up this series.
The brothers Hawthorne was about two separate stories of Jameson and Grayson getting sucked into different games of their own.
Firstly about Jameson: I truly enjoyed the environment she created for his story. It was absolutely enchanting. I definitely enjoyed his side of story better. His character development in this book is very well done. The side characters in his story were very intriguing, and him finding a father figure, definitely brought me to tears. Another thing I absolutely enjoyed was seeing the love between him and Avery from his perspective. The sexual tension - unparalleled. The love - the kind you get only once in a lifetime.
"He wanted her the way he always wanted her. The way fire wants to burn".
Secondly, Grayson: Before anything else, I just want to give this man a big hug. I saw so much of myself in him. While his story wasn't as intriguing as jameson's, I loved the exploration of his character, and that was all I wanted. His need to never make mistakes, always be perfect. I especially loved the relation he and Xander had. And all the tips he kept giving about how to be authoritative while talking to anyone, definitely using them. I also loved the addition of new characters in his life.
Jennifer never misses with her books, and I cannot wait for another year to get my hand on the next book, which I'm sure will be filled with a lot of new drama.
