Aside from the fact Schwab can do not wrong in my eyes, this is a fantastic second book to the Shades of Magic series. 

We have magical competitions, secrets, plotting and all the characters we adore. 

And for those of us who enjoy a sprinkling of romance with our fantasy, there is just a hint with perfect pining.
