Mixed feelings over this one. On one hand I really enjoyed the dynamic and unusual but unique plot of this book. On the other hand I had a hard time understanding the characters, Lila is a petulant child for the majority of the book. Phoebe is depressed and that makes her personality very flat. I really liked Gary and the friendship him and Lila had. I wasn’t a big fan of the writing because it’s written in 3rd person, and I don’t enjoy that. Next to that the chapters were not really chapters and I found it hard to distinct were a new part started. It also often jumps between flashbacks and sometimes it’s confusing to understand who is talking to who. But besides all that it was a very enjoyable read, with an interesting plot.
