Queen of the Dome is the first book in the series and it follows the lives of Cade Arden, falsely accused of a crime, and Queen Deianira, who must decide his fate.
The thing with this book is that even though it has a really cool topic, it isn’t executed really well. It is super fast-paced, something that I wasn’t the biggest fan of, making the whole relationship between the two characters feel like insta-love while also not having the best world-building.
I had so many questions that were left unanswered that weren’t solved throughout the whole series. There were also so many characters, that it was hard to keep track of them. I did however really enjoy the fight scenes in this book. It truly felt like I was watching a movie and not reading a book.
Overall, it was an okay book - good enough to make me want to read the next books at least.
