Joe O'Loughlin is called in to help investigate the murder of a mother and daughter - the mother has been brutally stabbed multiple times, while the daughter has been strangled in her bed and laid out peacefully. The murders are soon linked to a series of attacks where people were strangled unconscious and had an A carved into their foreheads.

This is classic Joe O'Loughlin. An interesting mystery that kept me turning the pages. Of course Joe's 17/18yo daughter asked to assist and ended up in danger (it wouldn't be a Joe O'Loughlin story without some overstepping of reasonable boundaries), but it was still a great read.
