Into the Storm by Melanie Moreland

4.0

Into the Storm starts off with a blizzard. I feel like it's pretty common knowledge to know that you shouldn't drive in the middle of a storm. But it also felt like this was Lizzy's only chance to get away from her abusive piece of shit husband. So, she takes the risk and leaves. Unfortunately, she doesn't make it far due to hitting a tree.

It's from this moment that her life changes for the better. She meets a handsome stranger who saved her from the wreck. Joshua and his dog, Bear, are very protective over her. He knows that she was in trouble based on the bruises covering her entire body. He also knows that she has amnesia from the car wreck too.

So, he calls her Rabbit, and a relationship starts to form between them. I wouldn't necessarily call it insta-anything, but things did move a bit faster than I thought they would. Which ended up working out since I really enjoyed these two getting closer. It just sucks that the moment came to a crash when they realized who she was.

In the end, we get some drama towards the end and secrets come out to play. I'm happy that they ended up together and decided to grow a family. I just hate that it seemed like her ex-husband got away with so much shit.
