I guess library dogs are a thing, as this is the second book I have read about them. The idea is that if a kid reads to the dog, it is easier than reading to a person, because the dog does not correct their pronunciation, ask them to go slower, or faster, and doesn't interrupt them at all.

In this case, Madeline has a favorite dog she reads to, and it helps her to learn to read outloud.

Lovely illustrations, and cute kid and dog.

I think this will appeal to shy readers, as well as kids who like dogs.

Thanks to Netgalley for making this book available for an honest review.
