Kings, Queens, and In-Betweens by Tanya Boteju

This book gives me a lot of new insights on LGBTQ+ community, especially Drag Race!

However, I am still deep in confusion about some parts of the story, such as issues going on with Gordon (I don't much understand his issue– is he trans? does he lean more into feminine traits? is he having body dysphoria because of his queerness?) and who Deirdre actually is–is she a trans woman? or just a drag queen? I honestly couldn't tell. Also, is no one going to talk about how Deirdre is basically twice Nima's age yet her father seems to be surprisingly too chill about her coming to their house and Nima's staying over at Deirdre's place which was quite far...? Also Nima's love interest, who is like 21 or 22 something while Nima is still 16 or 17, as far as I remember.
