Three Sides of a Heart: Stories about Love Triangles by Natalie C. Parker

2.0

2.5 stars

I was really disappointed in this collection. Most of the stories weren't really even love triangles. Hardly any were polyamorous, which was the only reason I even picked this up. A lot of the stories were in the sci-fi/fantasy genre, which I wasn't expecting, and I didn't think most of them worked. It's really tricky to balance out the amount of world building that is needed for the story to make sense, while still focusing on the characters enough to make us care about them. Too many times I felt like I had been dropped into the middle of a full-length book with no context, and many of the stories ended just as abruptly.

Justina Ireland's story was my favorite, and the only one that I really even remember 2 days after finishing this.
