Beartown by Fredrik Backman

"If you are honest, people may deceive you. Be honest anyway. If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfishness. Be kind anyway. All the good you do today will be forgotten by others tomorrow. Do good anyway."

I can't put into words how much I loved this book. The prose is absolutely gut-wrenchingly beautiful. And the way Fredrik Backman manipulate the narrative? The foreshadowing? Stunning. I loved it so much. I honestly think this book was like a very needed balm on some of my old open wounds. I can't tell how grateful I am to have been able to read something like this.
And oh, Benji Ovich, the man that you are.
