Matrix by Lauren Groff
4.0

This is not a plot-heavy book, but a journey of a woman stepping into her power and bringing other women with her--set in a middle ages abbey. I adored the lesbian utopia found in these pages. This is loooosely based on what very little we know of the life of Marie de France (a middle ages literary woman) and Marie, abbess of Shaftesbury--Groff posits them as the same person. I knew nothing about either of these women, and it doesn't matter so long as you're okay with a book getting a little high-brow in its tone and references. Bonus: the audiobook is magnificently read by Adjoa Andoh.
