(Sorry if i said anything offensive that might hurt anyone reading my review)I really wanted to love this book, but the author's pacing, ending and especially writing really triggered me. Because i really love the beast, as he is not a cruel man with a curse and an ego like in a lot (if not all)of the b&tb retellings, he actually have a deep and complex character that is not just forced evil and cruel just bc he is a 'beast'.And I really loved the little Beast povs after almost every chapter, it's so creative and unique and give us a glimpse of his mind. It's just a shame bc the author could've at least gave us an ending that reflects all the relationship developped between the beauty and the beast, and actually gave us romance instead of the situationships of the fmc and every other character exept the character(beast) who is supposed to be the main focus of this book. I can't stop talking about the straight up rushed flat trash ending, and it's not just the ending, its the whole book writing and pacing that couldn't handle anything other than the period where the beauty was trapped with with beast. And another thing, i personally hated how the whole "gaston" and her sisters are geniunly nice yet problematic for the fmc and the whole story, it had a lot of off-putting situationphinps that drove away the main plot and focus on this book. Like they were a "good" loving characters for the fmc but they were manipulative and gaslighting despite their love for her. The mc herself was dump, the whole book she thinks very flatlty like she's a child and not an adult "if I can't do this then automatically i cant do that" as if there's no way of deep reflection, just long pages and paragraphs of close-minded thoughts and only chosing one of her flat either "I hate or love or grieve" nothing in between that gives her a scence of a human beeing, especially when she replies for the beast her answers are always robotic and forced and flat when the beast is having all the luxurious complexity of his 'man and beast trapped in one' character.
