I absolutely loved this book, from the man-murder to the lushly seductive writing the author uses to describe it, I loved it all. Summers' writing is the type of writing that I wish every book had, it's complex, descriptive, challenging, and it elevates the story beyond its gory subject. She makes writing about murder and cannibalism enticing in the most twisted way.
Most of the 1-3 star books that I've read would have been 5 star books in my mind if they had been written in this style; this author knows how to WRITE a compelling story, not just simply tell one.
