The Backup Plan by Eden Finley

4.0

The first instalment of Eden Finlay's new King Sports series and it's already off to a great start.

The premise - Thad is an intern agent who's struggling with not making it as a professional baseball player, and Kelley is the anxious rookie pitcher who seems to have everything Thad ever wanted. Thad resents Kelley and definitely does not hide how he feels.

I really enjoyed the character development. At the beginning of the book I really didn’t like Thad but by then end I was definitely team Thad. Kelley is super loveable and I think Eden did a great job portraying his anxiety disorder.

All and all, really enjoyed it. Low angst, HEA, lots of funny parts and delicious spice. Plus lots of the other Sadenverse characters we all know and love. I can't wait for the rest of the books in this series!
