The Deathless Girls by Kiran Millwood Hargrave

5.0

Splendidly written. Fast paced and a page turner. I loved the meshing of the traditional Dracula Transylvanian lore with Traveller culture. It gave this book a richness other Dracula’s bride’s books were missing for me. The one weakness of Hargrave’s I feel was that she spent the bulk of the book setting the scene, and character building (which was amazing) that the climax of the book felt hurried. This happens a lot in books which leads me to believe a lot of editors are at fault here. I wished the back half of the story was as full of structure and character as the first half. Overall, absolutely stunning.
