There are very few books where I can say that after reading the first chapter is a 5 star book.  Daughter of the Moon Goddess is one of those.  the story of Xingyin is one of love, betrayal, and hope.

It is the coming of age of the Daughter of the disgraced Goddess of the Moon, Chang'e and the mortal warrior Houyi.  Forced to flee, Xingyin finds herself living under the roof of the very people who wish her the most harm.

The connections she makes and the risks she takes to free her mother of her exile at the hands of an emperor and empress  who detest her family.

I fell in love with the first sentence and knew by the end of the first chapter that I wouldn't be able to put it down.  It is yet another book I plan on adding to my collection, and cannot wait to read Heart of the Sun Warrior.
