Yellowface is as much a critique of culture wars and the publishing industry as it is a psychological thriller, with a self righteous main character haunted literally and figuratively by her ghosts. Everything asked in this book is worth considering, as much as you wish it wasn’t. This would be a perfect book for a class or book club; I’d love to discuss it with others.
