Elastic by Leonard Mlodinow

challenging informative reflective medium-paced

4.25

Confession: it has been sometime since I started this book, but I officially finished this month, which is not a reflection on the quality of work, but rather my reading habits. Elastic is the second book I’ve read by Mlodinow, (sequentially, I believe, this was written after Subliminal) and he did not disappoint. As a minor comparison between the two, it loses some of the wit and charm from his first anecdotally informational nonfiction; however nothing else is lost in this concise work on the advantages of bottom-up information processing, flexible thinking, and even some science behind why ADHD is an asset in our ever-changing world.
Mlodinow is adept at delivering scientific research and original examples in an easily devour-able read.
Once again, he surpasses my expectations as an academic author and I look forward to reading more of his work.
