The Eternal War by Alex Scarrow

4.0

3.5 stars.

A wonderful and terrifying misadventure is caused when Abraham Lincoln is killed 30 years before becoming President of the US. The results an eternal war, where the American Civil War is still being fought.

While the middle of the book was a bit of a drag in some places, it was an enjoyable read. I particularly enjoyed Devereau and Wainwright. They were great characters and their relationship as friends on opposite sides was quite fascinating.

Also, I felt Sal finally had time to show her character development when she joins Liam, Bob and Abraham rather than staying with Maddy at the field office. With Becks joining Maddy this time, I think everyone in the book got a fair chance of development.
