This book has the singular honor of having one of the most unlikable protagonists I have ever read. And I won't say I like her by the end, but I'm definitely rooting for her hard. The world building is really well done, and it makes the allegory necessarily obvious. There are strong themes, but enough room to leave you to decide what is right for yourself.
