This book could’ve been a saga.
The pace was consistent throughout the whole book and then the last 80 pages are rushed events, character developments and unexpected bad guys. Not that I hated the fast pacing at the end, but the book definitely could’ve been split at least into two parts to better develop those events.
Loved the characters, but wished there would’ve been more background on some of them (like Galladon and Kiin).
Loved the world as well, the magic and the political/religious conspiracies. Again, wish there would’ve been more about the wyrn and the different ways to access the dor.
Overall, a good read that didn’t keep me hooked, but left me wanting for more.
