DNF at 40% probably should have DNF’ed wayyyyy before but the morbid curiosity just got to me. I read the trigger warnings and I continued reading. The gore was great, don’t get me wrong! But I just hated the incest and the gross bathroom stuff. It was actually disgusting. Other than that it was just really boring 😭 I couldn’t get past the hangman scene because the characters and their reactions were so flat and so dumb it was like watching Twilight. The acting was so bad. I hated it lmao. I love gore and it doesn’t bother me at all, I mean I grew up with unlimited internet access, so I’m used to it. But that chapter about Mildred and that weird ass lady who ran the playground was absolutely disgusting and should have been burned right from the get go. The splatterpunk/horror genre def isn’t for me! The only good character that I feel was redeemable was Rock, and he was a victim. I actually thought the chapter where he killed Donnie’s mom was heroic and kinda sweet lmao ANYWAY! And Donnie was cute too. Poor lil guy.
