Four: A Divergent Story Collection
by Veronica Roth
Four is the male protagonist of the divergent series. Since the series is narrated from the perspective of the female protagonist, Tris, we don't get to know much about this character's side of the story.
This book is dedicated to Four or Tobias Eaton. It talks about his life before and after changing factions. The narration was lucid and the language was simple. The author had a way of keeping the reader hooked even though there wasn't much of an element of surprise as this is just an add on to the series.
But the best part, hands down, was the character development of Four. From a little boy who was a victim of domestic abuse and losing his mom, he really turned his life around in a new faction. I loved the way he pushed through all his obstacles and emerged as one of the best in his training. He was unabashed in his goal even when his personal life was a mess. Loved the spirit and determination of the character.
If you have read and loved the Divergent series you should definitely pick this up!
