What I Talk About When I Talk About Running
by Haruki Murakami
I knew I'd enjoy this. Part memoir, part travelogue, part running diary, part writing journal, all with a touch of light philosophy. It couldn't be more up my alley if it tried.
Probably why I binge read the whole thing during a day off work.
Needless to say it's helped me gain further appreciation for Murakami, I feel like our heads spin in similar ways. While it's also motivated me to really get fully back into running and try to take it seriously again.
It's a book I know I'll be coming back to, the sort of thing to reread once a year. I'm happy to have it as part of my personal little library.
