Audio. This is a children’s book about two siblings whose mother visits after being gone for 7 years. That sets up so much on its own. As that’s what the stories mainly about; the siblings, one with selective mutism one with a physical disability, find themselves learning about their parents. This was a sweet glossed over simple story about a girl finding her voice when things aren’t right. Very nice Tory that I think elementary school students could get a good hit from. Extra point for diversity for them being half Mexican and how they explored their culture.
