This is the most devastating book I have read since Where the Lemon Trees Grow. I am stunned by the ending, and feel like I need to ball my eyes out.
The interspersal scenes were magical. I loved how they were placed through out the book, and I loved how in the audiobook the different chapter markings (II, !!!, etc) were denoted through sound effects. I also see now how the author works to lead us astray as we work our way through Kostya's life.
Absolutely fantastic read, worth ALL the hype, and you need to read it too.
