I liked parts of this book and had huge issues with others, namely the statutory rape and how it was glorified/justified as saving that kid's life because of his mental health struggles. Also how the main character defended age gap and power dynamic imbalances in relationships if the younger party is 18 because they're legally an adult and thus as fully aware of the ramifications of their actions as someone in their thirties. These are two tropes that I like but omg, you don't know anything when you're 18 you just think you do.
