Listen, I came into this expecting a Divergent meets Star Wars story set in space. I was not disappointed, but this book wasn't what I expected.
This book was very character driven and I think V. Roth did a great job of assigning these characters with their gifts. I loved Cyra and I loved that her parts were told in the first person point of view. I really liked Akos too, but I just feel like I would have enjoyed his chapters more if they were written in first person POV. At the same time, I feel like V. Roth wrote this way for a reason. All in all, I am glad Veronica Roth finally put out some new work since Divergent and I will definitely be reading the rest of them.
