I'm still undecided about this book. Parts of it felt very contrived-especially the ending, and I don't think the kid appeal is very high-so it would be hard for me to recommend. I did like the setting, the 'history' of Wolf Hollow, and Annabelle's relationship with her family.

Summary: Twelve-year-old Annabelle must learn to stand up for what's right in the face of a manipulative and violent new bully who targets people Annabelle cares about, including a homeless World War I veteran.
