Much like the first book, this was a cute story that chugged along nicely. Nothing groundbreaking, but a fun, fluffy read.
I liked the depression representation with Wes, I thought it was handled realistically. However I feel like it could have been explored more.
Same with Ava’s divorce trauma - the book danced around the issues but I would have been happy for this story to be 100 pages longer if it meant more character exploration.
(Also why did we never get to find out why Chance called her?!)
I hope Teddy and Gus’s story is next because I LOVE their dynamic!
