Ex Libris: 100+ Books to Read and Reread by Michiko Kakutani

Did not finish book. Stopped at 16%.

I think this is pitched wrong - its beautiful illustrations and "100 books to read and re-read" tagline make you think it's going to be an indulgent coffee table book to dip in and out of.

But, really it's a collection of short essays on books (predominantly American) that the author rates. And they are not necessarily going to be everyone's tastes. Be better if this book had the views of multiple people not just one voice.
