This was a very cute read. I have seen this on FYP, and wasn't feeling a fantasy book. There is virtually no plot, but the banter between Jack and Rose kept me reading. Although it was slow paced, it didn't really feel that way because we got constantly got character development scenes between the two. I like the whole sunshine grumpy trope, and it feel to cliche like some books are. Again, another impulsive kindle unlimited read that didn't disappoint.
Wait, so Jack married her just to help her. When I first read this, I thought it was very stalker-y. There isn't a bad reason why he helps her, but it can come off as very creepy to some people. He say her one day at a party and decided she was the love of his life. The secret he kept wasn't bad, it just was creepy. It seemed blown way out of proportion for what of a little deal of it was. His actual reason was that he cared for her, so when Rose said she was heart-broken? I didn't see why? It's not like it was a lie. He cared for her before to help her. He loved her from the start...but that's a little creepy.
