The Free People's Village
by Sim Kern
I'm the beginning I hated most of the characters, did not vibe with the band setting, and was disappointed by a world that felt closer than I wanted it to.
Around the 50/60% mark I found myself to be fully engrossed in the relationships between each of the characters and how they reflected friendships I have in my own life and how they differ from some of the ways they perfectly workout.
I think this book is a great tool for anyone new to sci-fi, or leftist politics, or if you're White. I think for that reason the intro is so rough. At the end I almost shed a few tears.
