The Wisdom of Crowds by Joe Abercrombie
5.0

The Wisdom of Crowds, and the Age of Madness as a whole are masterpieces of modern fantasy.

The best series I've read since finishing Malazan Book of teh Fallen, and a lot wiser and funnier even than that.

The end of this series broke me just a little. Abercrombie can be a cruel God. But it was a masterful end of an incredible series. When meeting Savine Dan Glokta for the first time, I could not imagine that we would end where we have.

A few thing that had me messaging a friend who'd just finished it in great emotion:
SpoilerGlokta revealing to Vic that HE's the Weaver. Fuck me in the eye i did NOT see that coming. I should have, but damn. What a scene.

SpoilerPoor bloody Orso, and he HATES hangings. NGL this one hurt more than anyhting. Worse the Rudd Three Trees even

SpoilerThe Young Bloody Lion is still not swinging from a gibbet. Such a pity.

SpoilerAnd Rikke's vision at the end... Damn...
