Natalie you absolute evil genius. This book hurt so good. Everything Valerie experienced, from her naïveté to secretive manipulation for survival, feels like it was plucked from my own childhood. Her relationship with Riley was so beautiful, gosh darn it. Thank you for proving that I’m/we’re not alone.
