thecosynook 's review for:
The Gruffalo
by Julia Donaldson
Only a short review here (the entire book is only 32 pages so not sure how much of a review this is going to be but we will give it a go)
In this book we follow a mouse walking through a dangerous forest - he invents stories of a fictional creature called a Gruffalo...but is he actually fictional?
This is such an amazing children's story, it might be short but it leaves such a lasting impression that it is easily one of my favourites (if not my favourite)
The story is accompanied by some beautiful illustrations that really bring the story to life. There's also an animated short film by the same name (usually on around Christmas in the UK) - I would definitely recommend that aswell
Overall this is definitely one of my favourite children's books, the story is so fun, a really quick read and some amazing illustrations. Go and pick this one up!
