2 9-year-old girls give witness account damning a serial killer to life in prison. Callie says she saw the man coming for murdered Lori, but Tessa just takes her word for it. Turns out that neither girl saw this man for sure. Now that they're 18, another girl is killed in the same manor with the same MO as Lori. Tessa's mom and sister abandoned her and she's searching for them while in town for her father's incarcerated death. She finally finds where her mom went and it ain't pretty. She in some "town" in the mountains far away. There's no city limits there. People just find a spot and build a house and squat there. These are people who don't want to be found. She goes there and is pretty sure her mom is there, but doesn't see her so she leaves a note with her number at the corner store. Mom finds her, kidnaps her, and takes her to the cabin. Turns out that Mom stole her as a baby, Lori found out about it so she killed her - same with the recent killings. People are getting to close. Mom spills the story to Tessa and Tessa escapes and kills mom. Then her sister emerges, she stayed away because she knew everything.
