A beautiful and heartbreaking story. One part made me gasp, which I dont think any other book has managed. The author is very skilled at ending a chapter with a "punch in the gut" sentence. I love how the generations transition. You know what the previous generation went through, and then you get to see how life changes as we go on to the next. Truly stunning.
