The characters were very intriguing to me, and I read this book in a day. I was often left with more questions than answers. The characters backstories are tragic and I liked their personalities and relationship, but the world-building was a little lackluster for me. Several scenes were hard to follow from one moment to the next and there are certain characters and interactions in the story that left me confused afterwards. The ending was okay for me, but again I didn't understand it's meaning if there was one.

Not a bad read, but incredibly open-ended in many places throughout the characters' journey.
