My favourite Olivie Blake to date. I loved how complex and terrible yet endearing all the characters were, I loved the strong and sarcastic narrative voice, I loved how Thayer Wren constantly haunted the narrative, I loved the magical realism, I loved the reflections on siblings and friendships and growing up and motherhood. It took a while to get into because the plot moves so slowly, but I really enjoyed how that left so much room for introspection from each of the characters.
