House of Flame and Shadow by Sarah J. Maas
5.0
So many things happened. It was a rush from beginning to end.
Some aspects felt a little to "bc I said so" for storytelling, but considering SJM is more about emotions and layering plot devices, I wasnt expecting hyperfixations on describing the scenery and the intricatcies of the magic systems.
Honestly, between the three separate series, you have a pretty solid idea of what magic is here and what lands you're traveling through.
Glad to see all of the cross connections coming together relatively neatly.
